UT4M: Master and Xtrem nutritional plans
In addition to the advice common to all races, we offer you these nutritional plans to best prepare for and manage your 100 Master or your Xtrem from a nutrition and hydration point of view.
The UT4M 100 Master is a high-intensity trail running event that covers approximately 100 km and 5,500 meters of elevation gain, through the Belledonne and Chartreuse mountain ranges. This technical and varied course is aimed at seasoned trail runners who want to test their endurance over an ultra distance, without going to the most extreme format. As for the UT4M 160 Xtrem, it is one of the most emblematic and demanding events of the event: 169 km and nearly 11,000 meters of elevation gain, crossing the four massifs surrounding Grenoble: Vercors, Taillefer, Belledonne and Chartreuse. An extraordinary adventure, to be completed in a single stage, in extreme physical and mental conditions. It is a challenge of endurance and perseverance, which attracts seasoned trail runners every year who come to push their limits in the heart of the Alps.
On these demanding formats, a well-structured nutritional plan is essential for success (with our nutritional advice). Diet plays a key role in preventing cramps, maintaining energy, managing hydration and recovery. Without a proper strategy for carbohydrates, electrolytes, proteins, and timing, even the best workouts can be ruined by a dip or dehydration. It is therefore crucial to prepare in advance what you will consume before, during, and after the race.
