Olympic distance walker Mattéo Duc shares his recipe for oatmeal and banana pancakes to get race day off to a good start! Also try the variation with chocolate Authentic Récup'.
Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- A very ripe banana
- An egg
- 7 tablespoons of oat flakes (preferably oat flakes – small because they mix better)
- 5 tablespoons of vegetable or goat milk (cow's milk should work too!)
- 2 tablespoons of gluten-free flour (with gluten is also fine)
Variation : replace the egg with 4 doses of recovery drink, Authentic Récup' with chocolate
Mix all the ingredients to obtain a smooth paste. Heat a little oil in a pan and cook the batter in the form of pancakes.
Enjoy immediately!
This pancake recipe is ideal as a pre-race breakfast, to be eaten 3 hours before the effort.
Strong point: its delicious gourmet taste, without added sugar.
The variation with the recovery drink has the advantage of also providing minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and good proteins.
Without eggs, this recipe is perfect for people with egg intolerance.
Other possible recipes with the recovery drink:
- Authentic Cake recovery shake
- Chocolate recovery smoothie
- Chocolate-banana recovery milkshake
